French Montana Ft Rick Ross & Birdman - Trap House
Excuse My French's track 2, Jahlil beat-assisted record helps lead Montana into what proves a energy-packed collection. What French lacks in technicals and lyrics he makes up in big, bouncing, boomy beats. His catchy hook is noticeable, as is Ross' ability to sample Rih's 'Cake' and rhyme 'Motherfucka' with, guess? Birdman's point is predictable, the track succeeds what it sets out for.

Ace Hood Ft Lil Wayne - We Outchea
Ace is really heading off-track and doing it for himself in the public eye with this Trials & Tribulations record. This the follow up single to 'Bugatti' - spun to death as seen later. Ace's flow and stories have rarely changed over years. Getting his baws Weezy on this had potential to weaken, but Wayne puts in a decent stance, slows down the track before switching pace. Props to Ace.

A$ap Ferg Ft A$ap Rocky, French Montana, Trinidad James & ScHoolboy Q - Work (Remix)
The original cut off the Mob's joint tape from last year 'Lord$ never worry' stuck out as a big highlight, Ferg returns with a part-predictable part-genius lineup for the big remix. French and Trinidad could improve,  the former's repetitive sounds and later's questionable credentials. TDE's Q and crew boss Rocky finish with a bang - big remix for Ferg who continues to impress.

Cam'ron - Golden Friends
Random dop from Killa Cam sees him sample Golden Girls track and 1976 hit Thank you for being a friend. His age-old flow is refreshing and to hear him spit two solid verses and hold is own on a track something not to be taken for granted in today's game. The classy sounding sample floats smoothly behind the NY vibe - we look forward to Killa Cam 2 with tasty anticipation.

Mac Miller - Watching Movies
One of the title tracks of Watching Movies With The Sound Off, Mac appears to be well on it, the joing self produced with Mac beat is unique and in some strange way addictive. With it switching up and turning down for Mac's doomy voice change chorus, his rhymes flow on point, the whole track feels polished and well packaged. Half a dozen more of these on the sophomore and the 'burgh man has smashed it.

Ace Hood Ft Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Meek Mill, French Montana, 2Chainz, Future, Birdman, DJ Khaled - New Bugatti (Remix)
The original Mike Will-assisted single did the rounds and bought underground riser Ace all successes. Remix have been spun all around but this seems to be the daddy, Ace inviting a mix of all the game's current sounds to crack. Meek opens with fire, really giving it all he has. TIP's go is memorable and works with the track. Wiz begins weak and out his depth before saving it, a couple of forgettable verses from Birdman, French & 2Chainz that all lack the conviction allows Ace to steal the cut in a dramatic finale. Future's droning tone proves annoyingly bearable.

French Montana Ft Snoop Dogg, Ace Hood, Mavado, Scarface & DJ Khaled - Fuck What Happens Tonight
French pulled out all the stops on his debut in terms of personal, in my humble eyes - everything works to point here. The reggae-sounding cut features We The Best colleagues Ace, Khaled and Mavado. The later's unique tone sets the scene through the hooks, Ace really energises and bodies before Snoop leaves the Lion behind to lay down a tight verse. Scarface stands heads above, deep, violent, believable linescut right through the mind and end it on a hard note.

2Chainz Ft Wiz Khalifa - We Own It (Fast & Furious 6 soundtrack)
Any other time this duo lineup wouldn't make it, this radio-friendly, worldwide film-blockbuster effort will have done either Wiz or Tity Boi no problems. The jam has a real summer vibe to it and without ripping into them their energy is without doubt present. Critics will hack into Wiz's Rolling Papers style hook, but for a race film, big built up beat, catchy hook. It just works. Peep the film.

Raekwon - Son of Sam
We continue to await FILA this year from Kwon and he continues to excite by steadily leaking a little taste of what is to be expected. The Melvis Bliss sample cannot be ignored, the ever-used, classy Synthetic Substitution has got to be one of the most successfully sampled sound in hip hop's time. Rae boasts about his success, how he views things across the States but with that classic boombap feel it's hard to not dig. Sending out a real heads up.

Mobb Deep - Life We Chose
Progidy steps aside Lloyd Banks to partner Mobb man Havoc for this classic sounding remix, the sound of the duo together cuts hrough the track over the heavy, firey beat. There deep, dark delivery and wordplay has certainly not left, anyone lucky enough to be peepin' the 20th anniversary tour needs to take it in on a potentially legendary arena filler. Havoc announced the workings of an eighth studio album, would be welcomed.

Ab-Soul Ft ScHoolboy Q - Back Then
Soulo takes a different, upbeat approach to this effort on a track maybe looking to push his boundaries. His usual deep lyrics are replaced with comical wordplay and metaphors but the TDE rapper kept up with the high-speed beat and bodied the hook. Adding crewmate Q for a sound switchup, they bounce off each other.

Trinidad James Ft Juicy J - Females Are Welcome (Rmx)
James continues to follow up the 'A.G.E' smash with another catchy track. This remix features a dubstep sound on the original Reija Lee vocals. It lacks in lyrics, James' point is to create a catchy joint that can be flipped and changed and sound dope. The dubstep kicks in as Juicy J lays his verse, stealing the verse war - most likely gold for his target audience.

J Cole - Cole Summer
'This right here is not a preview' - Cole puts his fans' excitement to hear an album snippet to bed as he puts out this standout track as part of his 'Truly Yours' collection. Addressing all changed since the fame rise, girls and family related before talking Warm Up and FNL's successes and critiques. Ends with 'June 25th. Born Sinner. Bitch'. The wait is nearly over.

ScHoolboy Q - She Like
Q's fierce flow goes tight with this high-pitched, compelling beat. Puffy's unique sound is instantly identified as he switches pace throughout the three verses to match the repetitive drop in bass. You don't get nothin' too deep, but his 'henn' and 'molly' talk is there. Build up to the final hook sound perfect for clubs and big DJ sets.

Talib Kweli Ft Busta Rhymes - Rocket Ship
Kweli's long awated Prisoner of Conscious dropped and this cut with Busta Rhymes shines out. They both go in with educated words, going in at today's 'rap bitches'. RZA produced beat includes drums and interludes that seperate and power the track through. Kweli's whole record merits the support.
As he demands 'What are you stupid? Listen'.

Joey Bada$$ Ft Action Bronson - Beyond A Reasonable Doubt
Two of the hottest up and comers in the game get together on this track as Pro Era lead boy Joey leads with his mellow, monotone flow - comments critise it but the 'beast coster' has the lyrics to rise up. Bronson fires in and steals the show, his more firey, powerful and passionate attempt gives the track a different edge. The collab contrasts and provides a good switch up within it.

Scotty Ft Trinidad James and Big KRIT - GAME
New ATL rapper Scotty's standout track on debut tape 'FAITH' - on paper anyway, as he incorporates James and boom baps KRIT on this effort. He spits unassuming lyrics over a catchy hook. His sound and potential are good on first lesson, shadowing James who enters with brags about the riches the 'GAME' brings. Krit fires it home, with impressive wordplay on his signature sound - stealing the track but a good lineup for Scotty.

Chance The Rapper Ft Ab-Soul - Smoke Again
Chance has been touted on since his 10 day mixtape which blew up the underground. 'Acid Rap' was really waited on, built up - there was pressure on the youngsters, espesh with features like Soulo, Bronson and Gambino onboard. The tape didn't fail, what isn't there in lyricsm is made up in unique sound, like no one in the game. Soulo adds his touch, completing a strong track.

French Montana Ft Mikky Ekko - Trouble
Left off the tracklist for 'Excuse my French', Montana really tones down his usual, party-style flow on this sooth track, Ekko's own personal touch does a lot for the song but French's honest tone shouts out. More respect could be found for the native Moroccan, if tracks along the same line follow this feel, refreshing to hear the Interscope man has another side.

Beyonce Ft Andre 3000 - Back To Black
Unique track that dropped in the last week as part of the collection for the new film release 'Great Gatsby', 3 stacks and Bey do everything to live up to the late Amy Winehouse's classic. Dre's vocals are unique-sounding and melodic, the guitar riffs sound out the deep beat before Mrs Carter's smooth tone catches the chorus with all respect and a new feel. Whilst slowed down and extremely different, this is a real dope ode to the passed.

Ludacris - If I Aint Fucked Up
Luda goes in on this Metro beat. The dramatic, over-the-top backing track suits his flow right down. The Luda that cracks over a trap beat over a catchy pop feature appears on this track, the hook is hard but repetitive, catchy in its own way. 'cris found a blend of club banger turned roof down anthem.

Rocko Ft 2Chainz Future - UOENO PT3
UOE certainly bought Rocko back to people's mouths, from the issues over Ross' original lyrics, this Pt 3 remix continues to flex the unique vybe. The hyptonizing beat, spun over the globe, flows with Chainz's rhymes, from the scratches till he turns it up. Misses the energy the A$AP cut provided but real chilled.

Joey Fatts Ft ASAP Rocky Danny Brown - Choppa
Joey Fatts - behind A$AP's 'Jodye' - shows his spitting aint to be missed as he rounds off this drop with his slow, menacing flow. 'I'm probably the realest breathin' under 25' he brags, verse rivals A$AP's opener, pulling Danny Brown for a high-tempo hook was a smart move.

Logic - Nasty
The Maryland born 'Young Sinatra' continues his recent impressive, head-turning drops. The 2013 Freshman claims he's 'resurrecting hip-hop' with his consistant wordplay and insane rhymes - over a classic, piano beat. One to watch, speaks about his youth - he got everythin' it takes. Now at Def Jam..sit up.

Los Ft Cassie Wiz Khalifa - Weak
Wouldn't normally make it but a Wiz verse worth of note, begins high-tempo, crazily spinning the Yung Burg club beat as Cassie provides timeless tone to the catchy hook. As much as the Taylor stamped himself King Los comes through, dominating the track over the more established names. His 'Becoming King' spun and went gold. Deservedly attracting names after underground success.

TI Ft Kendrick Lamar BoB - Memories Back Then
Eventually a 'final' version, the Grand Hustle muscle team up adds current Westside King KDot to this deep, reminiscent cut. TIP switches up his flow before Bobby Ray follows the smooth Kris Stephens hook with some back-to-basic flow, refreshing style, addressing trust issues alongside pregnancy. With Stephens' angelic tone backing the beat - Kenny closes it in the delivery and tone that makes him TopDawg,

AB-Soul Ft Mac Miller - The End Is Near
Soulo pushes his position as toppin' things lyrically right now, boasting the 'out of world flow' he posseses, the beat feels spooky and stays dominant even as the TDE second man switches his pace full of crazy rhymes and references. Mac doesn't roll over, slows down his flow to the beat dubbed by alias Larry Fishman the 'myth'.

Mac Miller Ft AB-Soul Smoke DZA Da$h - Money Team
Mac stays on the decs incorporating AB, DZA & Da$h for this coastside switch up, the three do Fisherman's '4/20' ode beat justice - Soulo builds up the tempo as Smoke keeps the standard powerful as Da$h rounds off the joint with a simple, straight to the point wrap up.

Party Next Door - Make A Mil
Fresh Canadian RnB soundin' 'Party Next Door' drops dubbed first single 'Make A Mil' the song made available on Drizzy's website so bought the views, his methodic, autotuned opening will doubtless please the ladies before attempting to plug a vocal range. Simple and basic, but that smooth Canadian sound is detectable, Drake to plug him, just like Weeknd..

Los Ft Diddy Ludacris - Disappointed
Another of King's drop from 'Becoming Kind', a further ode to him name-dropping dragging Combs in solely for a ear-catching intro. To combine with Puff Daddy for a hook while shouting down to the game declaring 'I'm Disappointed' works. Luda runs through a quick-fire verse before King takes the jam in verse three with fine wordplay.
